Adult & Senior Eye Exams

Care Comes First

At Clarity Eye Care, we are proud to offer one of the most comprehensive and thorough eye exams in the Omaha area, without invasive tests like the 'air puff' or dilation. Our exams are more than just a glasses prescription- during a comprehensive exam, our doctors are checking for signs of glaucoma, retinal detachments, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, eye tumors, and even signs of other medical conditions like cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Diabetic Eye Exams

Coordinated Care

Has your doctor been reminding you to get your annual diabetic eye exam? We'd be glad to help. Standard diabetic eye exams require dilation of the eyes to view changes related to diabetes. With our Optomap retinal camera, we are able to view the entire retina without dilating your eyes. Our doctors also always write a report back to your diabetes doctor with the results of your exam to ensure good coordination of care.

Why is it important to check the eyes annually for diabetes? Read more here.

Children's Eye Exams

Acuity at every age

Both of our doctors love seeing children. All children, whether or not they have any visible problems, should receive an eye exam at age 3, age 5, and every year thereafter. We are proud participants of the See to Learn program, where all 3-year-olds can receive their screening exam free of charge. We also provide kindergarten entrance eye exams at a reduced cost. We are prepared to diagnose and treat children's eyes at any age over 3. Don't let a school screening test be a substitute for a proper eye exam. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, vision disability is the single most prevalent disabling condition among children in the U.S. 80% of information that children absorb is through their eyes- let our doctors ensure that their eyes are in tip-top shape!

Drs. Karen and Laura Armitage are committed to the newest treatment methods to slow down nearsightedness in young children to keep their glasses prescription lower later in life. Clarity Eye Care participates in the MiSight Brilliant Futures program, a revolutionary FDA-approved contact lens program to reduce nearsightedness progression in children.
